Faces

Your task is to create a project that incorporates the human face and demonstrates your knowledge of accurate facial proportions. You decide on your theme, and you decide on the media. You may work as an individual, or in groups.

Must have:

• • at least one human face in the correct proportions

  • use media well

  • write an artist statement explaining your project.

    • "I created this project using ______ because I wanted to ______..."

    • "As I was working I _______________..."

    • "I choose to _________..."

    • "While working on this project I learned ________..."

    • "This project made me realize ..."

May have:

• as many faces as you want 1 to 100

• mixed media: experiment

  • you may use cut paper, colored pencils, watercolor, markers, yarn and string, etc.

• any school appropriate theme ok'd by Mrs. Kiwiet

  • size of paper: 9 x 12 or 12 x 18. Use drawing paper or construction paper for background.

  • may use a template/trace

  • may cut things out of magazines and add them to your piece
