With Text to Speech you can send text as voice calls to all kinds of phones, all over the world. To both mobile numbers or landlines. The text in your message will automatically be read by a synthetic voice.

Applications

- Send SMS/text to landlines

- Complement your SMS with a call to raise attention. Really clever when texting to technicians that are on call sleeping or when it´s really important that the recipient reads the message right away.

- Send SMS to visually impaired or older people that could have trouble handling SMS.

- Increase the reach of your message to both landlines and mobile phones.

- Send alerts with high priority, a call is always answered directly.

Send in different ways:

Email

Just add the prefix 999 before the number.

It works both if you put the number in the To-field or if you send your email to broadcast@esms.nu and put the numbers in the mail body.

Approved formats:

- 999 directly followed by the number, just like when you make a local call, like this: 9990701234567 or 99908123456

- 999 followed by the country code and area code, like this: 99946701234567 or 999468123456

From the web

You either put the prefixet voice: in front of the number, or you use the prefix 999

Approved formats:

- add the prefix voice: in front of the number, like this: voice:0701234567 or voice:08123456

- if you are sending abroad you add country code and area code also, like this: voice:+46701234567 or voice:+468123456

- 999 directly followed by the number, just like when you make a local call, like this: 9990701234567 or 99908123456

Language Selection

The message can be read by voice for recipient language.

Three methods are available:

• • Select language in send-to address:

  • 35812345678&language=swedish@esms.nu

  • Auto-detect language by setting &language=detect in address:

  • 47712345678&language=detect@esms.nu

  • Select language by prefixing language or language code in front of the message, eg

  • danish: Denne meddelelse er læst i dansk

Default: Language will be selected by recipient country code.

If language is not available, english is used.

You can also use the short language code, eg

zh-tw: 正體字

The only way to select Trad Chinese and Catalan is to use prefix (we cannot guess by country code)

Use the prefix voice: in front of the number

Language selection: use value to_language

Settings for Originator

As Originator is the same settings used as when you send SMS, you can choose a text or a number.
