Best practice for critical services of receiving faxes

All critical services will need several backup plans, these are our recommendations for such occasions.

Keep you own number

And forward it to one of our fax numbers. It makes it possible, and easy, for you to switch fax services as needed.

We have many possibilities to connect new suppliers of numbers. If any would fail, you can easily change your forwarding to another number from another supplier without having to tell everyone you have changed the number.

If possible, keep an analog landline at your office

And forward it to us. Analog lines are better equipped for transferring fax. Fax transfer is sensitive for interruption, IP numbers will have to transform the sounds of the fax into data, this is a delicate task that might easily go wrong.

With an analog land line installed at your office, you also have the possibility to connect a physical fax machine to your socket, if all else fails.

Forwarding fax calls - is it special?

No, it´s just like forwarding any number.

It doesn´t matter if it´s a line plugged in the wall, if it´s a number in your company switchboard or if it´s some virtual number that your phone operator handles for you. You can even forward your mobile number.

Forwarding a number will forward all calls, not only the faxes, so make sure you´re not expecting any other calls on that number.
