Bulk sending of text messages/SMS

The most common way to send text / SMS to several recipients at the same time is to specify their addresses in the "To" email field, the same way you do when sending an email to many recipients.

You can also specify distribution lists in your email client where email addresses as well as SMS and fax addresses can coexist.

If you want to broadcast to more than a hundred recipients we recommend the Broadcast interface, which is simple to use.

At the bottom of this page, the instructions for the broadcast interface are downloadable in PDF format.

The advantage with using the broadcast interface is that it is quicker to distribute messages to many compared to using the regular distribution lists in the Outlook or Notes email clients. Also, it is more efficient, in terms of bandwidth, since only one message has to pass through your internal email servers.

Your broadcast address templates are easily saved using the "File-Save" function in Outlook or equivalent in other email systems.

Create an email message that looks like this:

Subject: Anything or empty

Message:

Your message, followed by the keyword

It is optional to write a semicolon and name after a number. The advantage doing that is that it is easier to keep the distribution list updated.
