Distribution list settings

Distribution list settings can be managed using this page.

There are three different distribution list categories:

• • Open group. In an open group, the members are activated regardless if the administrator creates the member or if the member sends 'START' to the group.

  • The new member automatically receives a "welcome to the group" text message.

  • Administered group. Members that are created by the administrator are activated when created.

  • Members that send 'START' to the group are activated after administrator approval. When approved, the new member automatically receives a "welcome to the group" text message.

  • Hidden group. Is identical to the Administered group, except that no welcome text message is sent.

If you delete a group, you delete all group properties and all its members, settings, moderators.

In order to be able to reactivate a group and use all the previously defined properties, members and so on, it is strongly recommended that you deactivate the group instead of deleting it.
