How to Setup Outlook 2010 Messaging

In order to use this service one needs to be a Tellustalk customer with a valid user ID and password.

Steps:

• 1. Open Outlook 2010

  2. In the "File" menu, follow "Info" tab and click on "Account Settings". We can see the "Account Settings" button which is marked red in the figure below.

3. When you click on "Account Settings", outlook will open Account settings window as shown below. Under "E-mail" tab, click on "New" (circled red below).

4. Select the "Text Messaging (SMS)" option as shown below and press "Next".

5. For account information, please look below,

in the "Service Provider URL" field, enter https://tellustalk-eu.appspot.com/outlook (ATTENTION new URL, the image below is not correct)

In the "User ID" and "Password" fields, enter your Tellustalk Id and password respectively.

5b. After you have provided Outlook with the URL to the Service Provider and User ID/ Password, please

restart Outlook before you try to send any Text message. We have noticed that this is a better way to establish

a functional connection between Outlook and TellusTalk.

6. In order to check the account settings, you need to specify your mobile number.

Click the "More Settings" button showcased in the picture above, and then enter a valid value in the "Your Phone Number"

box shown below and click OK.

Now when you are back to previous screen as showcased in the picture above, click on "Test Account Settings..."

7. Outlook will now show you a success message popup showcased in the picture below.

Click "Yes" to send a test message to your mobile phone.

8. Outlook will send a test message to your mobile phone and shows a notification popup as shown below.

Click "OK".

9. Now Click "OK" in the "Outlook Mobile Service Account" window which is shown in step # 5 above.

Outlook will show you a Congratulations message informing you that your text messaging account has been successfully configured.

Click "Finish" to close the window showcased in the picture below and then click "Finish" again to close the "Account Settings" window.
