The stories
What we did at the Global Learning Festival
During the Global Learning Festival, each of us reflected on our personal experience of Local Response. We thought about times when we, as part of a community, had taken ownership of an issue and had taken action to deal with a challenge. Or we thought about a time when we had seen a community take ownership of an issue and take action to deal with it.
We then formed into groups of 4 and each of us told our story in 5 minutes. Each of us then received feedback on our story. We then formed ourselves into another group of 4 people and did the same thing but now we only had 3 minutes to tell our story. Each of us then sat down and wrote our story on paper. People were also invited to record their story on a video clip.
This site contains the stories that we told.

What is a story? Why do we tell stories? How do we tell a good story?
During the Global Learning Festival we discussed these questions. This page discusses these questions in more detail and gives you more background material.
