Confirm Your Email

New users will need to confirm their email address on Canvas.  To do that, click the "Account" icon on the left of the page, then (1) click "Settings" and if you see the exclamation point, (2) click on your email address. Next, you will receive an email in your Biola inbox. Open that email and click the Register button in that email.

Next, click the "Edit Settings" button (3) and from there, you can choose a Language and Time Zone (default is US English and Pacific Time Zone), and set up any additional contact methods or email addresses (optional).

Confirming your email address on Canvas will make it possible for you to receive email from Canvas. For example, if one of your professors posts an announcement in your class, you'll receive an email with that announcement.

You can also change whether and how often you receive such emails by going to "Account" then "Notifications" (direct link https://canvas.biola.edu/profile/communication).
