Create an Ungraded VoiceThread Link
To create a link to an existing VoiceThread, go to Modules, then click the + (Add) button and choose "External Tool" and choose "VoiceThread" from the list.
Note: This describes how to link to an existing VoiceThread video that already exists in your VoiceThread account. If you don't yet have one in your account, see how to Use the VoiceThread Website for instructions on how to find, create, or upload one.
Next, type in a Page Name for the name of the item ("VT Lesson 2" in this example), and click the "Load in new Tab" option, and click the red "Add Item" button:
This creates in the link in your Canvas site. In order for students to have access, you'll need to complete two additional steps:
- Click on the link to set it up
- Publish the link
When you click on the link for the first time, you'll first see a button to load in the new window. Click it, then you'll be on the VoiceThread web site. Click "Individual VT" and then select a VoiceThread or create a new one. Once you've selected one, click on "Share with class."
