The Lobby

Welcome Sleuth Squads to the first location of the school that we are investigating: The Lobby. The Lobby is always the first part of the building that a person enters everyday and so it is only natural to have our introduction to special education be here. Special Education is the individualization of targeted academic and functional skills in order to help a student be as successful as possible in the setting that they are in. To do that, we need to get to know our students and their families. The first individual quest asks you to do just that by creating a student inventory or an employee get-to-know-you questionnaire. The first sleuth squad quests build on the information processing model, the role of the family, and establishing rapport with students.
