Welcome to the Lifeskills Room! We learned back in the Hallway that individuals with significant cognitive and neurological needs previously were institutionalized and often abused or mistreated. In an effort to never repeat the exclusive nature of institutionalization, a push for inclusion within the least restrictive environment. To make that successful, teaching students essential academic skills as well as adaptive skills is essential. Future planning and transitioning to life after high school are also a crucial part of an individual's lifelong growth.
