Welcome Sleuth Squads to the second location of the school that we are investigating: The Hallway. The Hallway is always the second part of the building that we interact with, we see our friends, administrators, and teachers in the hallways. The hallway provides the structure and direction to all the other rooms of the building, so it is only natural to have our discussions on the legal and social structures of special education be here. How did special education first come to be? Why are there so many legal protections for individuals with neurological and physical differences? The hallway will be your opportunity to explore why the legislative, executive, and judicial branches of the federal government need to become involved in addition to the structures of paperwork and meetings that special educators legally need to provide.
