Bronx Underground Tokyo Nights Dance Party

Post date: Apr 10, 2011 4:35:23 PM

Last Friday, I was sent on the mission at the Lutherian Church of Throggs Neck in the Bronx where a heavy metal event is taken place. Of course the first hour, I waited in the cold but it takes an hour to get ready.

So I did my part, donated the $10 and enter the church basement. There are many posters there. Also, there are no Asians there but everyone at the event pretended to be Japanese or Asian influence.

Everything is according to plan but by the time I was at the church basement, I have no idea what to do! So it's just hours of freestyle dancing with some J-Pop and heavy metal music. Just to let you know that I am not a good break dancer or I've just lost my rhythm since high school.

I got myself bored and tired after dancing on center floor with colored lights, I went in the kitchen. There are many refreshments including Japanese Watsubi Brownies and Japanese Inspired Cupcakes. I spent some money on them and ate it.

Then the band called Dress 2 Impress and their music is heavy metal. While they play, men were crazy break dancing with kicks and jumps. FOR GOD SAKE, YOU *******! YOU ALMOST BROKE MY NINTENDO DS!!! I was totally unsatisified.

I didn't think that it was a performance like Stairway to the Dream in the first place. It was a waste of time but I have to do something to help Japan. While their performance is over, the raffle ticket. I didn't buy one so why bother.

The prizes is Pocky, Free Dress 2 Impress CD, Japanese Watsubi Brownies, Glow Sticks, and even some Japanese products.

I yet again wasted my time but I should have left after I donated, the place is like HELL. Lesbians make out, drinkers, making love. If I never knew what the event was, I should never enter after donating. I need another girlfriend.

Sometimes helping Japan isn't worth defending.

More to Come!

Since there isn't a maid show this month, Karaoke with Reni at Top Tunes is April 24th on Sunday. The admission is $15. No discounts. There are 2 other events for me before Reni but Ballet Arts and Lale Sayoko with Kashimi's peformances as well the following week.
