March 2012 Saturday Fest

Post date: Mar 12, 2012 7:59:10 PM

The second week of March is spring weather in New York City. On Saturday, we went to SpringFestNY 2012 with my brother and sister. Me and my sister get orange wristbands and my brother only has the blue. It's because of the 18+ panels.

We started at the gym with the dealers room. Pretty crafty artwork. I brought some items there.

We all watch the Touhou movie after arriving at SpringFest at NYU Poly.

Then we went to the another building where we watch some performance containing Sailor Moon. This is me with the ID card being worn on my neck next to my sister on the left. Doing some choreograph dance and movements based on the Sailor Moon.

After that, we went to the Sneko concert at the Ragna. Which you can watch some of the video clips from Jefferies Herrera.

After Sneko, we watch live action dramas called outran high school host club. It was a really good drama series. And was hosted from MySoju dot com which you can watch them free of charge.

And finally, the gym after the dealers room is closed. There are 3 bands and the 2nd one seems boring. I've been waiting patiently for UZUHI to arrive and they played a good band. Next time I should start buying some CD's which is $20.

Also from Jefferies Herrera via Gosha's request, everyone on stage gets photographed. People can tag yourselves from the people who takes it.

Sunrise Fest

Next I myself went to Sunrise Fest after from Middle Collegiate Church. I usually go to Times Square Church on Sundays but because of the 3/11 disaster aftermath, I had to give them my tie offering!

Place located in Brooklyn.

On the left picture, this is Saori (the one with the Mickey Mouse shirt), she has performance in both afternoon and evening which is the 10tecomai Yosakoi Dance Project (not included in my fan page since it's too dark). During the afternoon show, it's a show for all families including children. Before entering, all persons not wearing wristbands aren't allowed to purchase or drink alcohol without proof of ID at the front door (which should have done for the planned 8/25/11 incident). I also met some anonymous people at the afternoon show (would not list the people I met due to privacy reasons).

The 10tecomai Yosakoi Dance Project Facebook page is here and was played at the evening show.

Before the evening show, I brought food and stuff by throwing away money which will proceed to the 3/11 Japanese victims. I've flashed my ID with a konnichiwa when I met them. Cookies, seaweed, Oolong tea, pie, fortunes, and biscuits.

At the evening show, there are bands and dancers. Not to mention meeting the great beautiful Japanese belly dancer Nahoko Sugiyama and Shoko Tamai which I'm not even a friend or a dancing fan. Even UZUHI played once again shown in this picture with excitement and special guests. After the show, I decided to look for a 24 hour store and buy Root Beer to get quarters to use a pay phone to call my family since my cell is out of battery life. Yuriko (picture on the right side with a red colored clothing) is being added to my list and I can use her to get in touch with her upcoming performances.

In my next blog, I will talk about a Mutual friend whose friend of my own friend I hang out during the Sunrise Fest evening concert.
