Wavemeter, type W66 Radio, Amp Smit, 1920 -1925, Royal Air Force.
"This early wavemeter, probably from 1920 - 1925 was used for checking aircraft transmitters. It tunes 3 MHz to 15 MHz and uses a neon lamp which illuminates when the wavemeter is tuned across the transmitter frequency. The five wavebands are selected by the switch at the bottom left corner which connects to tappings on the coil."

Il logo impresso sotto il numero di serie è quello del ministero dell'aviazione inglese: "The Air Ministry was a department of the Government of the United Kingdom with the responsibility of managing the affairs of the Royal Air Force, that existed from 1918 to 1964."
Interventi
Rimozione a secco della polvere con pennelli a setola morbida. Pulitura delle parti metalliche con etere di petrolio.
