Healthy Island Project Free Movie & Pizza Night!

Post date: Dec 04, 2017 5:52:47 PM

Healthy Island Project is sponsoring a FREE Hilarious Classic Christmas Movie and pizza at the Stonington Opera House on Thursday, December 7th!  Complimentary beverage of your choice (including beer or wine!) for the first 50 to complete our Age-friendly Coastal Communities Survey. Arrive at 5:00 pm for pizza, 6:00 pm for the movie. ALL are welcome! Call HIP at 367-6332 for more information.

This event is funded through a grant from AARP Maine and our partner Healthy Peninsula as part of our Age-Friendly Coastal Communities project.

To complete the Age-Friendly Communities survey online go to: https://goo.gl/forms/xWijaO7y4uZNgqMR2 (Let me know that you did, and I'll still give you a ticket for a free beverage at the Movie Night!)

Through the Age-Friendly Coastal Communities project we are partnering with Healthy Peninsula, our Thriving in Place Downeast partners, and the towns of Blue Hill, Brooklin, Brooksville, Castine, Deer Isle, Penobscot, Sedgwick, Stonington, and Surry to survey community members and get their perspectives and opinions on how things could be improved for seniors as they age in their communities. With those community priorities in mind, we will work with social service, medical, and community agencies to develop partnerships and services to improve the livability of our towns for people of all ages, but especially for seniors, caregivers and folks with disabilities.

The survey is for everyone to fill out, not just seniors!  After all, none of us are getting any younger and what is good for older community members is good for everyone!  Feel free to share the survey link with anyone else you know who would be willing to fill out the survey, as well!

Thank you for taking the time to share your opinions and thoughts with us.  Please contact me with any questions or concerns.
