Art with Meaning

Artists use the visual arts to communicate ideas and emotions with others.

In Ms. Leung's class, students finished off their Grade 9 course with acrylic painting. Throughout a two-week period, students went through the creative process to create, plan, and execute an original artwork that conveyed a meaningful idea and emotion.

Students applied their knowledge of the elements of art, principles of design, colour theory, and paint application techniques to bring their original ideas to life.

The result of this creative process is meaningful art that showcases the unique and developing artistic voices of our students.
