Artist Statement:
I selected this painting “Baffin Island by Lawren S. Harris” to recreate as the painting shows a small variety of different colours, but there are several monochromatic colours as there are mainly blues, whites, browns and greys. The various blue hues in the sky display how this monochromatic technique is used. When I saw the sky in the picture I was drawn to it and wanted to recreate this.
