You will be introduced to the the Chinese Dragon. Chinese dragons are considered lucky and foretell good fortune. Students will begin designing their own paper Chinese dragon.
How do Western dragons differ from those from Asia?
Watch the video and look at the examples.
Use a piece of copy paper. Fold in half and cut the paper into two.
Use pencil to draw their dragon heads and tails. Make sure they use the whole rectangle for the face. The tail must start as the same width of the rectangle before it can taper. Please look at the examples below for help.
Add details: scales, feathers, teeth, and a cunning eye.
Color your dragon in your favorite colors.
Add a body by using a piece of paper that is folded into an accordion fold.
