Description

Students will design patterns and use visual storytelling to make their own vessels inspired by Greek art history. They will use the sgraffito technique to render their stories, emphasizing the positive and negative spaces in their artwork. 

Lesson Objectives

• Students will create a narrative or pattern to depict in their artwork.

•  Students will utilize Greek patterns to create a sgraffito design.

•  Students will learn about ancient Greek pottery.

•  Students will gain a more comprehensive awareness of positive and negative space.
