Introduction

You will look at Aztec art treasures and the exquisite workmanship embodied in their creation. As you learn more about the explores you will try to understand why art from other cultures are easily misunderstood, destroyed and reduced to their monetary value. 

Procedure

Watch the videos and study the examples.

Create a painted paper mosaic mask the illustrates the Aztec style.

1. Glue down mosaic tiles down on your cardboard mask. Try to keep the placement of your tile uniformed and relatively close to each other. Remote Students: Use  a thin piece of cardboard like a cereal box  to cut out the shape of a mask. Used colored paper cut into little squares.

2. Create two large eyes, a mouth, and a triangle nose. Glue those pieces down on to your mask.

3. Modge podge your entire mask.

4. Add paper colored feathers.
