Introduction

Students will be introduced to the art  of scientific Illustration. They will be exploring ways to communicate complex information through  a variety of visual presentations.

Procedure

Pass out two handouts. "Let's Talk About Color" and the color scheme worksheet.

Watch the video

Color Wheel example should be on the screen during this exercise. Later switch to the illustration of Sar-CoV 2 when students begin designing their version of the virus.

Students will create 4 different color schemes.  

They will draw their version of the Sars-CoV 2/Corona Virus and use one color scheme from their worksheet.

Materials

• Students: Will  bring their own pencil, eraser, and Sharpies

• Teacher: Dongle and computer

All work needs to be collected and stored on the butcher block table .

Label each class's work.

Tables need to be wipe clean and chairs pushed in.
