Interdisciplinary
Students designed ecosystems in Minecraft and worked on fractions in this interdisciplinary lesson. They solved word problems to help determine what plants and animals would be in each ecosystem.
Students analyzed the data from our annual food drive. They created posters using persuasive writing techniques to encourage participation across the school.
Zookeeper - Ecosystem and Habitat
After researching about different habitats, students were challenged to create a new zoo habitat for two animals in Minecraft EDU.

Did you know we have a new wormery? Thank you, Mrs. Ballard, for starting our bins and helping kids watch worms work their magic
Fourth grade students spent several weeks learning about space. They first learned about the moon phases and tracked them for a month. After they learned about the moon phases, they went down to teach them to second grade students. They also got to video conference with an employee from NASA where the students learned about the International Space Station. Lastly, they had to create a “soft moon landing.” In this STEM activity, students had to create a spaceship for their astronaut (an egg) where it can land safely on the moon from a tall distance.
