proxyfile.pdf1st grade students are in a unit of study for magnets. They are using the interdisciplinary units form GA Inspire to track and record data, while investigating the properties of magnets. Their next steps are to create and record their data in STEM journals.
IMG_5679.MOVIMG_5680.MOV1st Grade students made instruments and performed "Shake It Off" in their lesson covering S1P1d. Construct an explanation supported by evidence that vibrating materials can make sound, and that sound can make materials vibrate. At concert time, students were musicians, singers, videographer, and merchandise/concession vendors.
Students participated in science and math rotations that focused on weather science concepts and math rote counting skills.

Who’s hungry for apple butter, apple pie, apple chips, and apple juice? 🍎 🍏 Here’s a smiling bunch of students that used their best listening skills to learn about John Chapman (AKA Johnny Appleseed). All while recording in their STEM journals, they tasted a variety of apples, graphed their favorite type of apple, and compared what items were heavier or lighter than an apple. Way to go, Ms. Ray’s class! We say all As for apples!
