In what will likely be the last Freddy Krueger AND Jason Vorhees instalments looked at for a while, we have the two facing off in both the dream world, and Crystal Lake.

Freddy vs. Jason (2003)

Freddy attempts to return to Springfield by reinvigorating the fear in the town. His idea is to wake Jason from his sleep, and impersonate his mother, and convince him to: go Springfield, kill some people to remind them of Freddy, and buzz off. Jason however just keeps on killing and taking away from Freddy's body count. Freddy is frustrated by this and takes over a sleeping kid to pump Jason full of tranquilizers. Freddy pummels Jason in the dream, reverting him back to his small child form because of his fear of water, and begins bullying the small disfigured child. Jason is forced awake by the group of kids (who really serve no purpose in the film beyond this, and being fodder) and Freddy is pulled into the waking world. Jason and Freddy now fight in the real world, Freddy still holding his ground, but ultimately the two finish in a sort of stalemate, Freddy stabbed with his own arm, and decapitated, while Jason has his eyes poked out, and body slashed and stabbed to a bloody pulp, both falling into the lake. Just before the credits, Jason marches out of the lake holding Freddy's head, which winks at the camera.

So who won?

In my opinion, Jason was the real victor. Freddy easily beats Jason in the dream, but Jason would withstand Freddy and over time break him down. In this movie, Jason wins, but without the interference of the kids, Freddy would win. Sorry Freddy, but you lost this one.
