The first function is high, resultative and principled.
I+ You- “My opinion is the only correct one, your opinion does not exist.”
For this function, the own aspect state is prioritized. This function is not easily influenced by the people around. The dominance of this function makes it difficult to contact other people, a person is not capable of constructive dialog and does not perceive feedback positively on this function. The main characteristic of the First Function is its excessiveness. We feel that nature has endowed us with it not only in abundance, but even with some excess.
The second function is high, processional and unprincipled.
I+ You+ “I reserve the right to think as I see fit, I take your opinion into account too.”
This function defines the increased interest of a carrier of type to aspect condition of other people and aspiration to influence it. It is non-conflictual, set up to dialog with others. If the First Function is best compared to a hammer, the Second Function is best compared to a river. It is just as strong. But in addition to strength, it has qualities unknown to the First: breadth, richness, naturalness and flexibility.
The third function is low, processional and principled.
I- You- “I'm not sure of myself, but I doubt your opinion.”
It is difficult for a person to independently set goals and evaluate his/her achievements in this function. Evaluation is formed by feedback from other people. This function is noticeably susceptible to influence from the outside (even if it does not want it). For this reason, carriers of the type tend to focus on minimizing undesirable and maximizing desirable influences on themselves. The third function is our ulcer, the sore spot of the human psyche.
The fourth function is low, resultative and unprincipled.
I- You+ “I am not knowledgeable and I fully accept your opinion”.
This function has a minimal need for interaction by its aspect state. The person has no strong motivation to work or show any activity on it. The person's requests and needs for it are low. The fourth function is “trivia,” a function to which we ourselves attach little importance.
High function forms its state independently and is not too influenced by others in its aspect sphere. It is difficult to influence it from the outside.
Low function succumbs to other people's influence in its aspect, even if it does not want to, and has little ability to influence others in that aspect.
Resultative function defines low concentration of a person on his aspect state, its displacedness and unconsciousness, because of what a person is not able to put much energy into interaction on this aspect. Result functions aim to get results quickly.
Processional function determines high concentration of a person on his aspect, its constant awareness, because of which a person has a lot of energy for realization of himself on this aspect. Processional functions strive for constant change of their aspectual state, as well as for interaction with other people, receiving “feedback”. Processional functions are communication-oriented.
Principle function determines the importance for the person of this aspect state and the interest in changing/maintaining it in oneself rather than in other people.
Non-principled function defines a person's interest in another person's aspectual state and focus on changing/supporting the aspectual state in another person. By the non-principled adjusting functions, one accepts the other person's position.
Aspects
Emotion - the exchange of emotions, feelings, the ability to share one's experiences with others, acting and naturalness of expression, dependence or independence on one's own experiences. Soul, feelings, emotionality, creativity.
Logic - forming and sharing opinions and knowledge. Independence in forming their own point of view. Knowledge, acquisition and transfer of information.
Volition - the sphere of our intention that we realize when setting and achieving desires and goals. Spirit, strength of character, discipline. The “will” aspect also affects how a person makes decisions, whether he or she does it on his or her own or relies on advice.
Physics - the processes involved in fulfilling our body's needs and comfort. Physical interaction between human and the environment. Also “physics” determines greediness or generosity of a person, his attitude to property and money, behavior in the intimate sphere, attitudes towards health, indirectly influences the physique and appearance of a person.
Emotion
1E - Emotion is our feelings and experiences. The peculiarity of 1E is their closedness to other people's emotional states, their attention is simply focused on themselves. 1E like to feel strong emotions, to experience them within themselves. They somehow live in “their world”, it can be both magical and beautiful, and tragic or dull, but it is always detached from reality and autonomous, the owner of 1E is immersed in himself most of the time. From the outside, such people catch the eye with their increased expression, free expression of feelings, infectious laughter, often - bright facial expressions and a glowing look, or vice versa, the expression of universal sorrow on the face. The bearer of the first emotion is so absorbed in his own emotions that he is unable to notice the emotions of those around him. He does not evaluate how appropriate it is to show certain feelings, because he believes that any reaction he has is perfectly natural.
2E - Second Emotions provoke the expression of reactions, figuring out relationships. They encourage acting in other people. Often engage in trolling to get interesting reactions from people, create a sensitive situation, stir up and then extinguish passions. The second Emotion seeks to convey emotional states, in conversation can easily follow the emotional state of his/her interlocutor. In his emotions, the 2E targets his environment. The representative of the second emotion is attuned to correlate his emotional state with its appropriateness in the situation, as well as with the emotions of others.
3E - The third Emotion is drawn to the clarification of feelings, but it is not immediately understandable, because 3E is afraid to seem intrusive, and holds back from long conversations about feelings. 3E is hoping for help in expressing their feelings. They may paint or play a musical instrument, or express themselves in another form of art, but only to restore mental harmony. They are ashamed to show their creativity in public. The Third Emotion has a similar reaction to questions like “Why are you sad?” The person will probably answer “I don't know...” at first, but then will engage in a lengthy self-exploration, with you playing the role of patient listener. If you are not very close to the 3E and suddenly decide to give him friendly attention, you are likely to get a reaction similar to fright. He feels good about it - deep down; but he doesn't know how to react appropriately so as not to push you away or disappoint you. 3E is extremely defenseless against an emotional attack.
4E - Fourth Emotions are remarkably calm in critical situations. They are very stress-resistant. If the stressful situation is the clarification of relations the partner may be waiting for some emotional reactions, and 4Es have none. But in a normal, relaxed state, Fourth Emotions are able to absorb other people's emotions and reflect them on their face. 4E's emotions are a reflection of the atmosphere created by the feelings of others. For the 4E, his own emotions matter very little. A 4E has the ability to be infected by other people's emotions.
Logic
1L - For 1L it is not peculiar to enter into long discussions and to prove anything, the bearer of 1L values knowledge rather than reflection itself. 1L believes that he is sufficiently versed in the topic, then his opinion he will present not as a subjective vision, but as an indisputable fact that does not require special evidence. Types with the First Logic is very concise in conversation and do not like to say unnecessary words. It is not easy to convince them of anything, but they themselves are inclined to impose their opinion and vision of the world picture on others. The peculiarity of the bearer of the first logic is confidence in his rightness. He is also not interested in other people's reasoning, the purpose of which is to prove his own judgments wrong - after all, he is sure of their correctness. 1L is distinguished by his ability to be precise and concise, but he does not like to prove their accuracy. Attempts to challenge his opinion allow him to consider the disputants as “unintelligent people” and sincerely wonder how it is possible not to understand obvious things.
2L - Second Logic provokes reflection and discussion. The holder of 2L can both ask tricky questions at public speaking and initiate a “ fight” in the comments. 2L want an interesting discussion that has arguments and chains of logic. 2L ask questions not so much to find out the answer as to hear another's point of view and discuss it. They are frustrated by stubborn “square” interlocutors who do not experience the joy of thinking. 2L laughs dogmatic, unquestioning statements, because he realizes that you can prove anything, which he actually sometimes does, just for fun - first prove one thing, and then, based on the same facts - the opposite. The possessor of the second logic enjoys the process of constructing logical chains and proofs.
3L - Possessors of the Third Logic are both naive and distrustful. They can engage in a wide variety of activities with the aim of simply learning, satisfying their curiosity. They like to talk about abstract topics, in the process of which it is possible to reveal the regularities of the world order - politics, society, relationships, religion, etc... It is easiest to recognize the Third Logic in an argument: it immediately loses its confidence and reacts rather aggressively. This is due to the fact that 3L begins to doubt the correctness of its opinion and knowledge. Sometimes 3L have difficulties in understanding simple things, because they expect a catch in everything and are not inclined to trust their intelligence. 3L is extremely picky about logic and consistency in any inferences. Extremely reluctant to give up his opinion, even if he underlyingly feels its untenability.
4L - The Fourth Logic is not interested in spending its life on intellectual labor and the search for meaning. Fourth Logicians are people who are too lazy to ponder. They tend to adopt other people's opinions, and in ordinary life they filter sources of information for themselves, choosing the most authoritative. They have clear, simple language and an equally clear, simple understanding of the world. Fourth Logic is characterized by clarity, simplicity and conciseness of presentation of thoughts. Such people have a very methodical mind, which throws away everything unnecessary. In the realm of logical beliefs, 4L focuses not on the process of producing them, but on the outcome - the beliefs themselves. During the course of his life, a carrier of the fourth logic grows up with people who are able to briefly and clearly state their opinion on issues of interest to 4L, such people become “authorities” for him, to whose opinion 4L necessarily listens. A representative of the fourth logic is too lazy to justify something logically, it is easier to refer the interlocutor to the same “authorities” who, in his opinion, have stated everything quite clearly.
Volition
1V - 1V is about being free to be yourself on the one hand, and being bound to your decisions on the other. 1V identify their own desires, with their own self. You can't force your desire on 1V, you can't talk him out of something either. If the 1V wants to force you to do something, it is very likely to find a way to do it. Impenetrable self-confidence is a pretty accurate indicator of 1V. For 1V it is impossible to give up their desire and they wholeheartedly strive for its realization. They enthusiastically accept responsibility for the common cause and practically identify it with themselves. One of the attributes of the bearer of the 1V is absolute confidence in the legitimacy of his desires.
2V - 2V likes to calm down complaining people, to show diplomacy in order to reconcile everyone in his field of vision. At the same time, it can ask a person long and tediously about his plans and intentions, and then gently explain why he does not need it or will not be able to achieve what he wants, and ask him to give them up in favor of others, which 2V considers more acceptable. The second Will can ask for a long time what exactly you are not satisfied with in your life, and insistently offer to think together about a solution. Realizing his desires, the representative of the second will always takes into account the desires of others. In his affairs, 2V strives to ensure that, if possible, no one's rights are infringed, including his own. He tries to find a reasonable compromise if these desires conflict with his interests.
3V - 3V is the person who “doesn't know what he wants”. He has a lot of ambition and a lot of self-doubt. They react strongly to disrespect, ignoring, taking offense where others would not. As you get to know 3V better, you definitely encounter his complexes: whining about “I'm nothing, I'm a loser, I'll never achieve anything in life”. They're afraid of letting others down and getting disapproved of. They seek to realize and elevate their status in society while evaluating others in terms of their place on the social ladder. They use showing off in an effort to make themselves look better than they really are. The third will is not well aware of its own desires. At the same time, the 3V feels that his own desires and his rights are not taken into account by anyone. And since he has no clear definition of what these “rights” are, and where their boundaries lie, this contradiction causes him a lot of suffering. When he feels that he has been “slighted” in some way, the 3V is able to resent and “seek justice”. Or he will suffer silently on the sidelines if he is not sure that he has the right to be indignant, or he will dig into himself and convince himself that it was just his imagination.
4V - The fourth Will becomes impotent, waiting for decisions and active actions from those around it. 4V can be “infected” with your dreams and plans with prolonged exposure, then will help you in their realization. 4V is too averse to effort and responsibility. They have trouble standing up for themselves. 4V does not feel empowered to make a decision. 4V feels like a child in the adult world who can be obedient or capricious, but is still a child and needs to be cared for. 4V agrees to many things under the pressure of other people's desires and as soon as the pressure is released, immediately tries to sneak out and do things that interest 4V. You can't say he doesn't want anything at all. He may want something, but it is more convenient for him that someone else wants the same thing and starts to act. And if such a person is not around, the bearer of the fourth will can delay for a very long time with the realization of his desire, moreover, he may never even tell anyone that he wants something. Very often the 4V is a fatalist, in his opinion, little depends on his own will.
Physics
1F - In all matters of the material world the 1F is guided only by his own tastes and needs. The first Physics is lazy, has no desire to make an extra movement. The first Physique wants to eat what tastes good, even if it is unhealthy. It is difficult for 1F to deny itself pleasures. 1Fs love the feeling of possession “it's mine and I can do whatever I want with it”. They get attached to the objects of their “possession” and have a hard time parting with them. Sports is one of the physical pleasures for 1Fs, but practicing it consistently and regularly is difficult for them without additional motivation. In all matters of the material world the 1F is guided only by his own tastes and needs. He has difficulty in changing his habits.
2F - 2F provokes liberation and the discovery of one's true tastes. This can manifest itself in the kitchen as well as in bed. 2F's behavior is one big offering of himself as lover, babysitter, masseuse, and sports coach all in one. Second Physics is true workaholic. The mobility of the Second Physics is also manifested in the fact that it is very active. It needs to be restricted in activity or it will be doing something all the time. 2F likes interaction with other people, touching, stroking. The possessor of the second physics is capable of helping others in their interaction with the material world for his own pleasure. At the same time, he does not forget his own needs, knowing how to get physical pleasure and adapt to any conditions, providing both himself and those around him with physical comfort.
3F - 3F are painfully focused on their bodies and material condition. They may spend hours talking to you about the details of their diet, such as what they ate during the day and how much they ate. They may also talk about exercise, beauty treatments, massages. These people tend to discuss at length and in detail the merits and demerits of the clothes, shoes, furniture and other things they have bought. May overburden themselves with household chores. They have a contradiction between greed and generosity. In addition, 3F holders react strangely to touch: even if they are sympathetic to you, their hugs will be overly cautious. Also, the Third Physique always has hidden or obvious complexes about their appearance. In matters of the material world, the bearer of the third physics feels extreme uncertainty, even if it has no basis. 3F by nature is very imaginative in matters concerning his health, appearance, physical sensations. He needs the active participation of others in his material well-being.
4F - Fourth Physicists are indifferent to the physical world. However they can be taught to cook their own food and interrupt sitting at the computer to sleep at times. But if 4F has caught fire with feelings, a goal, an idea, then he is already “a piece in the throat does not fit”, and insomnia, and in general - why get distracted by the perishable world, when there are so many more interesting things around? You can move them, feed them, dress them and they may not even notice it. In matters of the physical realm, the holder of the fourth physics is himself capable of satisfying himself with the bare minimum required.
