Such a basic block allows its owner to have a good understanding of how to keep order, how to fix laws and rules and control their fulfillment. Such a basic block gives the perception of everything around as if it were a certain structure, a static picture, where all objects are connected hierarchically. And does not allow this perception to change unnecessarily. Is able to track the fulfillment of plans exactly as required. Can confidently insist on his own where it concerns important beliefs and rules.
1) Base - Ti (Introverted Logic)
LSI is the most disciplined sociotype. First of all, he perceives the world through his main lens - Structural Logic (Order), that is, as a single system with many components. LSI is inclined to divide everything into categories, systematize information by attributes, build and describe logical interrelationships of various elements, explain causes and effects. For Maxim it is relatively easy to comprehend rules, instructions, calculations, laws and patterns, various techniques and models. He is able to analyze the essence of phenomena coldly and without embellishments. To establish control over order, LSI creates and perfects systems, hierarchy, principles, norms, laws, rules, instructions, etc. What is established to LSI is usually non-negotiable because, in his opinion, through such order, stability is established. Situations of chaos, in his opinion, arise in those cases when slackness, negligence, bad faith, laxity, pretense, deceit, etc. reign around. The stricter the order in the family, in the collective and in the state, the calmer and more confident he feels. LSI believes in his moral principles and lives in accordance with the law. He tries to create the conditions necessary for survival and stability, providing confidence and security. He is interested in solving complex serious issues, abstract theories are of little interest to him - he trusts only what is tested in practice. However, if theoretical issues are internalized and introduced into society, he easily accepts them and successfully uses them. LSI believes that all people are capable of thinking logically, so everyone should act thoughtfully. The received information is arranged in a strict order. Characterized by accuracy and specificity in business relations. Works out details, prepares events thoroughly. Takes into account laws and regulations, keeps personal belongings in order. He can always be relied on. Steadfastly endures the hardships of life. For such people is very important order in everything, the implementation of rules, agreements. Consistent in business and decisions, always brings the beginning to the end. LSI love order, accuracy and specificity in everything. Good researchers of narrow problems. Go into all the details and does not overlook the little things. Accurately maintain documentation, like to clarify the facts, willingly inform those who contact them about any instructions and laws, which usually know well. Are able to establish clear work, discipline and order, control the fulfillment of their assignments. Adhere to the subordination of official relations. LSIs quickly and easily determine what is correct and incorrect according to the systems they are familiar with. LSIs tend to logically analyze just about everything — even close relationships. LSIs view their partners and other members of their household as part of a system which should have a certain structure and order to it. LSIs seek to attain an important role in an important system and to maintain and perfect it — often becoming the guardian or watchdog of the system. LSIs do not often think about the ethics of the systems they maintain.
2) Creative - Se (Extraverted Sensing)
LSI is the most categorical sociotype. He has a talent for organizing, successfully distributes responsibilities, skillfully separating the main from the secondary. Being a leader, he believes that people should soon be accustomed to a rigid regime, to the system, not allowing arbitrary or compromise cases. In his system, as a rule, there are two ways to stimulate labor productivity - praise and punishment. Tough, determined and purposeful, scrupulously studies the facts, quickly notices the connection between them. He is unyielding in matters of principle. In the professional sphere LSI strives to achieve perfection, rarely changes it. A man of strong-willed endurance - persevering and resilient. Insistent and demanding in the fulfillment of assignments, as well as their verification. Proves his case by citing numerous facts he has collected. These people are strong-willed and determined, usually it is difficult to prevent them from doing what they set out, in life they know how to achieve their goals. Uncompromising in what they consider important. Can be intolerant of other points of view. Do not like it when they object, can impose their will. LSI tends to pay attention to the balance of power, the status of people, their volitional potential, as well as the physical parameters of objects. For LSI it is relatively easy to understand the mutual influence of some forces on others, the assessment of energy potential. Tends to realistic, traditional, somewhat predictable thinking. There is room to develop management and leadership skills. LSIs prefer to apply their clear, logical thinking to forcibly affect how the real world is organized, rather than simply producing conjectures or thought exercises that have no material application. LSIs prefer to work with systems of “real” things — material assets, organizations, management, and production — and to perfect their structure and organization (Ti). When they are certain they are right, LSIs can act decisively to enforce rules, and, if necessary, to punish violators, in order to protect the integrity of the system. LSIs handle high-pressure situations well and can maneuver skillfully around obstacles to achieve their goals. They cannot be intimidated easily by displays of force or aggression, but follow closely the balance of power and make sure they are in the best position.
3) Role - Fi (Introverted Ethics)
In communication with friends and colleagues, he is polite and courteous. He knows how to give the impression of an intelligent and well-mannered person. However, in close relationships, he changes towards greater cruelty. In formal conversations, he is a very attentive and patient listener, sometimes even overly polite. As a representative of the aristocratic quadra, he does not interrupt the speaker, does not make comments, because he highly values the culture of education. In society, he behaves politely and modestly. Does not allow familiarity. Most consider LSI a cold, indifferent and taciturn person. In fact, if LSI is silent in company, this does not mean that he is not interested. He will start talking only when he is completely sure of what he is talking about, or when he has heard something interesting, exciting, useful. Finding himself in a new unfamiliar environment, LSI gives the impression of a charming, pleasant person to talk to. However, this does not mean that he is able to sort out complex psychological situations. Not flexible enough in relationships with people. Secretive, does not like to share his impressions with strangers. Strives to understand the mechanisms of relationships, but is not sure that he understands them correctly. In the company of people the LSI smiles and acts like a good friend engaged in easy conversations, not without humor. They tend to mechanistically approach matters of wooing and relationship-building. The LSI often has trouble differentiating strong relationships from weak relationships. Often he will find himself unsure of his own opinion of the closeness of a relationship. This uncertainty manifests itself in the LSI as maintaining a generally friendly atmosphere with another person even if they are in conflict over a problem. Only when they are sure that they have been intentionally wronged by another will they publicly express negative sentiments toward that person.
4) Painful - Ne (Extraverted Intuition)
The weakest aspect of the LSI is Intuition of Possibilitys (Creativity). This suggests that such categories as “inventiveness”, “originality”, “new and untested”, “spontaneity”, “fantasy”, “polyvariance” are analyzed by him with difficulty, not for a long time, and are taken into account in the last place. It is difficult to show eccentricity, to express uniqueness, ingenuity, it is hard to help others with sketching different variants of actions. It is difficult to look at the situation from several angles. It is difficult to give an adequate assessment of someone else's originality, creativity and invention. He rejects unclear, incomprehensible ideas, so the opinions of other types in relation to him often run into a wall. LSI is afraid of change more than other sociotypes. He is uncompromising in his beliefs. The collapse of ideals that he has followed for a long time turns into a personal tragedy for him. A change in his usual rhythm and plans causes him stress. He chooses friends carefully. He prepares for everything in advance, does not tolerate accidents and changes in plans, does not have the ability to quickly rebuild. It is even more difficult for LSI to assess the potential of people, objects and situations, navigate in conditions of uncertainty, and the problem of choice. They prepare for everything in advance, do not like impromptu. They do not like change and instability. They trust only official or verified sources of information. LSIs do not tolerate ambiguity, and so dislike abstract ideals that are not directly based on their experience. They set clearly achievable goals, which they often reach. Failure to meet these goals causes the LSI to express anger and lose control of his emotions in the form of a seemingly childish tantrum. The LSI has a clearly defined set of rules that he must adhere to. Only through learning can the LSI change, and grow to understand how something could work differently than the way he imagines it in the moment.
5) Suggestive - Fe (Extraverted Ethics)
Also valuable for LSI is information on Ethics of Emotions. This function is weak in him, but information on it is very desirable. In life it manifests itself in such a way that Gorky has difficulty creating the necessary emotional atmosphere. Despite the lack of casual cheerfulness, he appreciates this quality in other people. He finds it difficult to regulate the emotional atmosphere himself. LSI likes it when someone helps him to defuse the situation, to evoke vivid emotions, to provoke a light drama, to put a complex structural mechanism in a beautiful wrapper, also admire people with a developed oratorical talent. Being correct and logical people themselves, they gladly accept emotionally charged information, and can be quite uncritical of the words of a person laughing or crying, showing fear. They will take such a person at his word, and can fulfill his request based not on reason but on feelings, following his emotions. Being entrenched in logical, systematic thinking processes, LSIs need others to create an emotionally inclusive atmosphere where they know they are accepted and liked. Left to themselves, they have almost no way of establishing an emotional connection with others other than through formal methods that often fail to work. LSIs can organize a situation where emotional bonding might occur, but they are almost unable to create the bonding themselves; they need others to fill the situation with feeling, laughter, and fun. Since they devote themselves so completely to whatever they do, LSIs tend to build up a lot of emotional tension, which can only be released when somebody gives them a vivid reminder that there is more to life than their responsibilities. LSIs can forgive a little unruliness, impulsivity, and disorderliness for the emotional value other people give them. LSIs tend to suffer from a deficit of passion and feel emotionally connected to the world mainly when they are around lively and emotional people.
6) Activating - Ni (Introverted Intuition)
Also valuable for LSI is information on Intuition of Time. In life it manifests itself in such a way that Gorky has difficulty fantasizing, dreaming, creating lengthy arguments about the “spirit of the time” and “the mood of the epoch”. Also, because of the immersion in current tasks (“here and now”), it is not easy for him to step back and assess the situation in perspective, to dream, to imagine the future. LSIs enjoy talking about probable developments in the areas they are interested in and what to do in the case of a certain scenario. This makes them feel adequately prepared for possible risks and dangers, which they otherwise tend to forget about. They also enjoy reflecting on the meaning of their experiences, wishing that others will understand and share their introspective thoughts on life. LSIs often follow fashion with pleasure, try to look modern, and are grateful to those who tell them what trends there are in society. They are happy when they are told how a situation is developing. They feel good when they are given information about how a situation will unfold and are happy when they manage to understand when it is time for action.
7) Ignoring - Te (Extraverted Logic)
LSIs are annoyed by the idea of continuously updating their core beliefs and systems with new factual information. To the LSI, the truth is the truth, and anyone who brings up real-life examples that, on the surface, seem to contradict the closely held ideas of the LSI, is viewed as an antagonist who must be quelled. While an LSI can easily understand isolated factual logic, he greatly prefers to sift through such material in an effort to extract the underlying systematic principles being taught, the information the LSI views as being “the point.” Once the core principle has been absorbed, extraneous factual information is often discarded, a habit which, when taken too far, can sometimes lead to LSIs being unable to back up their beliefs with any real-world examples. Sometimes LSIs will see the wisdom in acquiring this kind of supporting evidence, but their tendency is to pick and choose only those examples that support their positions. When exposed to too much unfocused Te information, the LSI tends to shut down, not seeing a reason to pay attention to isolated facts that may or may not possess any deeper meaning. Another negative consequence of this function is that some, not all, LSIs will quickly dismiss any factual information that does not conform to their prime understanding of things. On a positive note, because LSIs are generally not concerned with constantly referencing historic examples and in citing literature or current events, they often possess a clarity of thought that allows them to swiftly pinpoint and expose even the smallest flaws in others’ thinking. He almost automatically knows the location of things, the structure of mechanisms, and often does not need instructions to use them skillfully. In assessments, he is a sober realist, does not tolerate fruitless fantasies. The question "what to do?" rarely presents any difficulty for LSI. Most often, they know where to make money, how to organize their life, their business. They will not allow others to "meddle in their affairs." Good organizers and meticulous performers. Very hard-working, have a developed sense of duty, are demanding of themselves and their subordinates.
8) Background - Si (Introverted Sensing)
He does not disdain to do simple, dirty work, he enjoys doing manual work, which is always done well. He furnishes his apartment with practical, but not necessarily luxurious things. He does not always measure the value of objects in monetary terms. He takes care of his appearance, is careful in choosing clothes, but dresses discreetly. In everyday life, he is pedantic, and demands the same from others. He is a thrifty person, in whose house there is everything necessary for everyday life. They solve issues of coziness, comfort, health, aesthetics without unnecessary words in practice. In everyday, domestic situations, they care about expediency and health. Acts as if matters of personal appearance and health are very important to him or her, at times talks of it, though just as a comment not requiring feedback.
Characters:
Together, the two main lenses of perception work in such a way that the Inspector categorizes all information about the physical parameters of the external world and places it in a hierarchical coordinate system. For each object, person or process, LSI finds its own “cell” in the social or physical space.
Thus, Maxim Gorky is a born systematizer, controller, inspector, organizer, executor, manager, trainer and careerist. Like no one else, he is able to prescribe, control and maintain rules, laws, his own and others' discipline, overcome difficulties, offer clear instructions for action, remain sober and active in emergency situations, organize and streamline processes, projects and take care of safety issues.
