Subtypes
Dominant subtype (D) - Contacting, Terminating, Connecting. This subtype tends to be linear in its energy output. Dominating in the sphere of primary needs generates a group role of the motivator. General characteristic of dominance: pronounced goal-directedness with predominance of terminal action over reflection.
Creative subtype (C) - Contacting, Initiating, Ignoring. The behavior of creatives is directed toward finding new ideas, opportunities, and abilities, active response, contact with the irritant. Counterattack. They are maneuvering and dragging out the game with the opponent. The main characteristic of a creative person is paradoxical thinking and unconventional behavior, which allow to solve problems of special complexity, not subject to the usual, previously working methods.
Normalizing subtype (N) - Distancing, Terminating, Ignoring. Representatives are drawn to systematization and structuring of information, and strengthening of Fi makes them follow norms and rules, certain established ethics. They perceive very painfully when these rules and norms are violated. Passive reaction, avoiding the stimulus. Retreat. A person who fulfills the role of a norming participant in a group. A normalizing person brings stability with them.
Harmonizing subtype (H) - Distancing, Initiating, Connecting. This subtype differs from the norming subtype in that it easily reacts to interference in its world. His task is to eliminate conflicts and harmonize relations with others. Start tasks easily but quickly lose interest and often switch tasks. They frequently don't complete tasks. The harmonizer is designed to provide feedback in a communicative system.
Accepting subtype corresponds to accentuation of “accepting” functions 1, 3, 5, 7;
Producing subtype corresponds to accentuation of “producing” functions 2, 4, 6, 8;
Contact subtype corresponds to strengthening of contact functions 2, 3, 5, 8.
Inert subtype corresponds to strengthening of inert functions 1, 4, 6, 7.
Terminating (or terminal) subtype refers to streightening of the first, “program” function.
Initiating (or initial) subtype refers to strengthening of the second, “creative” function.
