This basic unit allows ILE to explain well and use logic to find new possibilities. Seeking explanations to understand and show others the essence of a subject. Such a person can successfully and easily generate ideas. And uses structural logic to promote them - structuring them, explaining them to others. Ne+Ti are attentive, with their logical thinking can constantly look for new things. Able to go beyond limitations. ILE is an idea generator, inspirer and innovator.
1) Base - Ne (Extraverted Intuition)
Don Quixote is the most creative sociotype. First of all, he perceives the world through his main lens - Intuition of Possibilities (Creative). Therefore, he describes it as a mix of different, often incompatible categories, potentials and possibilities. ILE tends to pay attention to the very meanings, ideas, options, ways, as well as to any manifestations of originality, uniqueness. The ILE easily goes beyond the description of the object itself, and also takes into account its possible potential. That is, in the perception of ILE any object is placed in a wider phenomenal context. For example, Don Quixote, answering the question “How are you doing?”, can take a broader view: “Well, at the cellular level I am quite active. Especially since any work can be done in the mind. Although, my friends would disagree with me...”. Thus, even everyday dialogues with Don Quixote can take on a dialectical connotation.
ILEs correctly assess the possibilities of different situations, see a holistic picture of the world. They easily perceive and generate new ideas based on analyzing a large amount of diverse information. They are inquisitive, read and memorize a lot. Have a good perspective on ideas and cases. Can find an unexpected solution to a problem where others do not see it, considering the problem from an unexpected side. Happy to advise on how to get out of difficult situations.
ILE is a storehouse of ideas, who accumulates all kinds of ideas in his memory throughout his life. He has a keen interest in everything new, he in his thoughts does not stop adding ideas, creating an informational puzzle.
ILE's ideas are usually ahead of time, sometimes 100 years ahead. His talent is the construction of large-scale schemes and structures. ILE is characterized by lively thinking and endless imagination, generation of ideas and the ability to suggest the direction of their implementation. He perceives the meaning, essence and even expediency of unusual phenomena faster than others. Tends to study abstract issues and phenomena. He's great at noticing the bigger picture.
ILE does not have the patience to listen to long speeches, he interrupts the conversation, because he has long guessed what it is about. He is able to conduct an investigative analysis. ILE feels the turns of events, weighs them and is able to develop a plan of action. When ILE is carried away by some next idea, he puts literally all the energy into it. He is interested in studying the causes of everything possible. He is more interested in the structure and existence of the world than anyone else. He is skeptical about politics and religion: he does not recognize rituals, idols, witchcraft. He does not commit rash acts, does not understand people who do not have their own opinion. Well sees distant perspectives. Big inventor: he always has a lot of new ideas and projects. Interested in everything in a row in the hope of finding something unique. He does what interests him, not what guarantees a real return.
The ILE is typically a “big picture” kind of person, and tends to speak in generalizations about both people and things, omitting any details he deems mundane or uninteresting. The ILE gets bored easily with rote tasks that do involve lots of repetition and little innovation. The ILE is a creative thinker, and enjoys discussing his often unusual perspectives with others. These will often be expressed through unique and strange (but effective) analogies. The ILE is constantly aware of the possibilities inherent in social, natural or other systems, and of the areas with the greatest potential within them. The ILE operates by using Extroverted Intuition to attune themselves to the multiple variables continually being expressed within the environment and proceeds to elucidate feasible connections and boundaries of context in order to change the way one perceives that which is operating below the surface of either everyday life or more dynamic technical arenas. To An ILE, the world is a vast network of stars with infinitely interchangeable constellations emerging from the open-ended framework. Extroverted Intuition as a leading function pushes with white-hot intensity the active rearranging of the lego-blocks of reality; not necessarily with any intention towards construction or creativity, but with the ultimate goal of introducing novelty and fresh perspectives.
2) Creative - Ti (Introverted Logic)
A strong Structural Logic (Order) helps to organize the rich space of options into a single system with many components. Don Quixote is inclined to divide everything into categories, systematize information by attributes, build and describe logical interrelationships of various elements, explain causes and effects. For ILE it is relatively easy to comprehend laws and patterns, rules and models, to analyze the essence of phenomena. There is an aptitude for computational abilities.
ILE sees the world as a system in which there are certain logical connections that allow him to explain unusual events and phenomena. Sometimes he exaggerates his truth, defending his truth everywhere, sometimes acting very aggressively. Polemics and creative discussions are his intellectual pastime, during which he can analyze, understand and express his theory. He is skillful in dividing all data according to certain attributes, establishing a connection between them and linking them together. He is able to grasp the mutual connection between seemingly completely different phenomena. The logical structures created by ILE are flexible and can be easily changed if necessary. ILE are good at noticing connections between distant patterns, discovering new laws, developing classifications. Vague ideas are able to rework into a theory that takes the form of a system. Structuring and categorizing from the general to the particular. Thinks a lot internally, looking for patterns in phenomena. Not afraid to go against established opinion, if he considers it outdated. The ILE will freely voice comments on whether a rule (especially one imposed on him by society) makes sense to him. If it does not, he will break the rule or find a creative way of mocking it to express his dissent, rather than working within the system itself to change the rule. The ILE is not afraid of discussing and arguing his views.
ILEs are obsessed with how things work, and how they will work together. Understanding how something works is merely the baseline for the ILE. When the ILE finds something new or interesting he thinks about how it could be used in conjunction with other objects he has come into contact with in the past.
3) Role - Se (Extraverted Sensing)
ILE have a hard time navigating the real world. Often live in his illusions. In the world of his fictions, harmony exists on its own, the surrounding chaos is not a hindrance. He lives in the future, he is frightened by the feeling of finality. He does not tolerate limitation, fervently defends only his position, but for a leader such qualities are inappropriate. In fact, he does not seek power, because he believes that power limits a person's freedom. ILE gives the impression of a determined person with willpower. In everyday life it is difficult for him to withstand systematic volitional pressure. He can be unyielding, especially if he is pressured. Attempts to subordinate themselves to a strict schedule is actively repulsed. The ILE is typically only able to sustain short periods of strenuous activity. The ILE finds it difficult to get himself to do uninteresting, tedious work simply out of responsibility. If he has to, he will acutely feel his own lack of discipline. ILEs are uninterested in forcing people to do things, and are not keen on those who impose their will on others, so they do not take well to direct commands. They often detest authority exercised in this way, and will often challenge abuses of power. When backed into a corner by an aggressive Se, the often harmless appearing ILE will immediately rise to meet the threat and strike it down with carefully crafted ease. The impact the ILE has on society is usually through his understanding of how the world works rather than a position of material influence. For example, an ILE might rather advise a person in power than hold an official position of high authority. He will only take such a position if it is necessary (and if no one else will do so).
4) Painful - Fi (Introverted Ethics)
The weakest aspect of Don Quixote is the Ethics of Relationships. First, it shows that such categories as “social norms of morality”, “rules of conduct”, “etiquette”, “feelings between people”, “relationships”, “hints and compliments” are analyzed by him with difficulty, not for a long time, and are taken into account in the last place. Secondly, it is often expressed in depreciation of such phenomena as moralizing, morality, ethical norm. It is difficult to show empathic behavior, sympathy, regret, it is difficult to help others to understand the relationship, the true motives and prerequisites of human actions, to guess the intrigues themselves. Simply put, Don Quixote is not useful where you need to listen to someone's heartfelt outpourings, weave intrigue, play the role of a courteous interlocutor, to understand the ethical and moral subtleties. He is not usually the initiator in a relationship, although he has a large circle of acquaintances, most chose him for themselves. ILE often can't answer who his best friend is. Since he likes to discuss interesting events, he gathers people with different interests around him. Questions of human relationships are not clear to him. ILE has weak empathy, has difficulty understanding the feelings of his partner, he fails to maintain friendly relations because of weak ethics. Does not know how to fight for his partner because he is afraid of making a mistake. Is not able to express feeling to others. He is also afraid to express his opinion about others and prefers to observe and remain silent up to a certain point. It is difficult for the ILE to be creative in building relationships between people. ILEs can sometimes be overly trusting. Often put work above family or personal relationships. They are democratic and do not like authority. Because of their entrepreneurial spirit, on the one hand, and their inability to take into account the feelings of others, on the other hand, they have a hard time managing conflict-free relationships with people. Totally clueless about people's attitudes towards him. Poorly feels how close can get to a person. He tries to be equally friendly with everyone.
Unstable in maintaining psychological distance. May have trouble making clear attraction. Can hide their personal sentiments when pushed and avoids the public examination of their desires. ILE’s tend to be unaware of how others view them relationship wise, unstable in levels of trust.
An ILE may view many accepted moral standards with scorn if they do not make logical sense to him and may be frustrated if convenient loopholes in a system are said to be ‘out of bounds’ morally. Indeed, the ILE may come to the conclusion that if he has not done anything legally wrong, then he could not possibly have done something morally wrong. Such thinking may bemuse more ethical types. In more extreme circumstances, the ILE will see morality as just another system to be taken apart and studied, shocking types who value moral traditions when he uses logic and his clever insight to dissolve moral imperatives. e.g. “You may view human sacrifice as something inherently wrong but that’s just a result of your upbringing. If you were raised an Aztec you would have seen it as a remarkable thing, believing it to be responsible for keeping your crops watered and the sun moving across the sky.”
5) Suggestive - Si (Introverted Sensing)
For Don Quixote is valuable information on Sensorics of Comfort. This function is weak in him, but information on it is very desirable. Also, because of the characteristic “flying away” in the world of ideas, it is not easy for him to focus on what is happening “here and now” and take care of everyday life. Because of this, he gratefully accepts care and help in these areas. He will appreciate when someone creates a cozy atmosphere for him. ILEs appreciate people with a solid sensory awareness that can help them feel a healthy sense of pleasure from their surroundings. Since ILE is a creative person, he often has difficulty solving economic problems in a managerial job. ILEs need sensory care, to be reminded to eat and rest on time, to be told how to dress for the weather, to look after his appearance and to keep healthy. He needs someone to take care of him on a regular basis. Only then is he completely relaxed.
6) Activating - Fe (Extraverted Ethics)
Also for Don Quixote is valuable information on Ethics of Emotions. It is difficult for Don Quixote to create a relaxed and peaceful atmosphere, to show refined emotions. It is important for an ILE to have a positive, welcoming, emotional atmosphere and to be in a good mood. Emotional support is very important for ILEs. A good gift for them would be, for example, a birthday cake, a set of cosmetics, beautiful and comfortable clothes - all presented with warmth and joyful mood. A good joke is also perceived as a gift. Needs periodic emotional shakes, as in routine his mood drops.
Enjoy lively, animated and fun interaction with people. However, he is not inclined to create this atmosphere himself but can create situations where there is a good chance that others will take the emotional initiative and create a fun and emotionally stimulating atmosphere. Failure at such attempts are met with dismay, which the individual either hides or reacts to with frustration and annoyance. He may misjudge the mood of a situation and unintentionally irritate those around him in an attempt to raise the mood. Lacking the finesse of someone leading with Ethics, he may be interpreted as silly or immature by those who think that a sense of occasion is important.
7) Ignoring - Ni (Introverted Intuition)
ILEs are good at grasping the meaning of the interlocutor's words and can sometimes even interrupt explanations because they have already understood everything and it is a pity to waste time. They quickly assess the situation. They do not like to waste time, wait and catch up. However, they are often late because they find it difficult to keep track of time. They do not tolerate strict regulation and monotonous mode of work. Do not like to live according to a strict plan. Distracted by interesting details, sometimes do not have time to do the main thing by the deadline. They like to do everything quickly. ILE has a vague idea of what it means to act on time. He is often late, therefore, he is not able to reckon with the time of other people. While the ILE may seem entirely spontaneous to the observer, he will often plan extensively for the fallout of his ideas in order to rally the support of others and guide it towards actualization. As a by-product, most ILEs will view lectures about foresight and planning as irritating and unnecessary. There is no need to go over that which he has already considered, in the privacy of his own mind. Additionally, with too much attention to consequences the ILE loses the thrill of discovery associated with his base function. He prefers to think about immediate possibilities (Ne) and what can be done to materialize them (Ti) rather than to dwell on the outcome of what might or might not be.
8) Background - Te (Extraverted Logic)
Quickly find the right technological solutions and without unnecessary explanations know what actions will be useful, expedient. They have organizational skills. They will not engage in useless activities. In an extreme situation, ILEs will act quickly and expediently. In everyday and domestic situations, they strive for good organization so that things are done quickly. Though the ILE can demonstrate a head for practical or efficient reasoning, particularly in conjunction with the ignoring function Ni, he will typically resort to it only to sell the merits of his ideas. The ILE is more concerned with the possibility of creating than in finding the best way to do something. When the demand exists, the ILE will deliver a practical and realistic rationale or solution, but be prepared for a tack that is singularly unorthodox. They have a fluid interplay between their large reserves of factual knowledge and the structure of that knowledge into coherent frameworks for explanation, allowing them to make sense of new information rapidly and flexibly. However, they are less motivated to do things for the sake of efficiency or productivity than because they find the area interesting and want to explore its potential, or because it feels fun to do. The ILE will not be boxed in by the rules of convention, rather he will actively search for a new way to perform a task.
Characters:
Together, the two main lenses of perception work in such a way that Don Quixote develops any theory or frame of reference he comes across, giving it new forms and meanings. He also tends to create his own hypotheses based on combining different realms. He examines any object or phenomenon from different angles, in all its diversity and variation.
Thus, an ILE is a born researcher, inventor, creator, innovator. Like no one else, he is able to quickly grasp the essence, compare many different theories and systems, evaluate their potential, invent and develop his own original ways of solving problems. Or cross a plunger with a pterodactyl. :)
