Diversity Management

World-Class Diversity Management

World-Class Diversity Management seeks to improve the competitive capabilities by advantages different cultures, generations, ideas, and thinking can bring to the organization.  World-Class Diversity Management strives to provide for diversity at all stages of the company's value chains, including suppliers and how the company addresses customer needs.   Some companies also expand diversity management to include outreach into communities.  To reach world-class companies must also address metrics internal to an organization,  Internal metrics with diversity usually include: representation across company, representation by department, number of applicants, number of hires, employee engagement proxy measures, promotions, retention, exit interviews, measuring and addressing pay gaps internal and against external data, addressing harassment claims, ensuring diversity in customer and client representation positions, and even considering diversity in branding decisions of the company such as advertising and target markets.   World-Class Diversity Management goes beyond traditional human resources and talent acquisition roles, to inclusion via corporate strategy, corporate social responsibility, organizational design & effectiveness, corporate marketing and even sales.
