MAD - Merge, Acquire, or Divest Program

Some of the world’s most successful organizations rely on acquisitions (buy), mergers, divestitures (sell) to achieve strategic goals. While financials are usually readily available, understanding of management capabilities are not.

The Roadmaps Institute has models with its World-Class Management Step Charts and Industry Segment Models that can be used to optimize the management considerations with buy, sell and merge decisions.  Merge is the most commonly use of our models (see below), but we have participated in Acquire and Divest situations.  

For example, an aerospace company with six divisions used the RI Aerospace Industry Segment Model assessments and reports to decide to divest (sell) one of its divisions, invest in three others, and merge the final two.
