Northern Hemisphere vs. Southern Hemisphere was a 2018 rugby union match that saw the Six Nations Team of the Tournament play against the Rugby Championship Team of the Tournament to determine which hemisphere was the strongest.
The winner, the Southern Hemisphere, were awarded the inaugural Interhemispherical Commemmorative Showdown trophy.

Although by law the match was not recorded, it is infamously known for the worst refereeing performances in recent memory. The referee, known for his own safety as "unassigned" allowed the game to be played for 50 minute halves. He also allowed a penalty kick which bounced before going over the posts.
