The Beasts in the East toured the Western Hemisphere during June and July 2017. The Beasts played 10 rugby union matches against the club sides that did not contain any of their selected players. This included 3 test matches against Pets Gone Wild.
The test series was won 1-0 by Pets Gone Wild – one Pets victory sandwiched between two draws. Of the other tour matches, the Beasts won 4, lost 4 and drew 2. The members of the Beasts squad voted Guan Yu as the player of the tour.
