The pressure continues on RFC Checkatrade after losing a scrappy game at home to the Shing Jea Islanders.

Phil Brown will certainly be feeling the heat after his side once again failed to score a try. The Canthan Crazy Gang however are on a remarkable run of form which may see them sneak into the play-off spaces. It appears not sacking Brother Mhenlo is finally having its rewards for the Tablet of Wisdom.

Dion Dublin suffered a horrendous neck injury, which rules him out for three weeks, as if the season was not already over. Max Power also topped up the injury list for the Tinpot Travellers with a nasty collision with Afflicted Minister Cho.

The match itself was of poor quality, although Brown will be pleased all his points came from the boot of his half-backs. "Get in there DJ! Right in the top bins", Brown exclaimed on the touchline.

Mantid Drone once again managed to get himself onto the scoreboard, replying instantly to when Checkatrade went 6-3 up shortly after the break.

Controversy also surrounds the referee, Federico Anselmi. The raw recruit binned Tim Sills without referring to the TMO. The speculation is he only yellow carded him because its Tim Sills and nobody really likes the look of him.

Brother Mhenlo on keeping his sides form going

"I am so glad all the discipline and practice in the meditation chamber is finally proving fruitful. This run of form is no coincidence. Master Togo has spent more hours down the monastery than even me these past couple of months. I've heard hes even been reading to the Afflicted and Sickened some of our islands finest scripture".

Phil Brown on Federico Anselmi

"I understand I can get into a lot of trouble with the RFU for saying this, but why on earth are they appointing a referee graduate for such an important game that is the Checkatrade against the Islanders. He needs to pry his craft in the lower leagues first. Anselmi has cost us the game today, because everyone knows if Tim Sills was on that pitch for ten minutes longer, its a totally different game!".
