The Shingjea Islanders continue their campaign for a playoff spot as they squeeze past 007 Universe at the Arena Manawatu.

A messy first half with several handling errors from either side led to a 3-0 score at the break with the home team netting themselves a drop goal via Fugui Ge. Roger Moore failed to execute a penalty from a tight angle near the end of the half.

007 Universe looked much more lively in the second half producing a stunning try from Pierce Brosnan, the product of some extravagant offloading on the port side. Unsurprisingly Roger Moore botched the conversion leading to audible frustration from the away stand. "Un gioco di calcio disonorato da noi." blares ex-007 Universe fullback, Dalton's Boot. "Dare io dico che sarebbe stata una storia diversa che mi era stata senza calzamaglia in giù prima dell'anno". Bitter sentiments from a truly trash fullback.
