A potential banana skin was avoided through blunt force as Pets Gone Wild bludgeoned their way through a resilient KEVICC.
The bookmakers had the Pets as clear favourites, despite their lumbering performance against GWRFC the week prior.
The game was one of individual players breaking the game line. The usual culprits of Termite Woodworm and Dan Foot made their mark in this regard.
KEVICC had great second half spells, but Bullet Ant squeezed past a rather sluggish Derek Davies to sprint home for all 4 points. KEVICC will be proud of their recent run of performances, especially the work of star fly half Rudy Oelschlegal, who incidentally is in the running for The Evening Rot's Player of the Year.
Although these match reports are supposedly neutral, I for one must say that I wish this kind of game will never happen again.
Stephen Jones on his sides recent miracles
"The lads know that you can still fail your GCSE's and happily retire on a yacht in the Med, perhaps even writing a novel. It is the exact same on a rugby pitch: you can fail against a side like RFC Checkatrade, and then put in one hell of a performance against that GCSE Biology paper".
