Red Winter is a non-level space that exists within the confines of a replica of the continent of Antarctica. It is entirely cold and seems to be devoid of any sort of entities or life. This however, does not show the level is habitable for any long-term amount of time. (As it is too cold)
An eerie red hue shines on the entire level and never vanishes. It is not known why it remains always red, but the entire level keeps a red glare in the environment, the sky and even you're red while in the level.
This level is heavily known for creating optical mirages, also known as Fata Morgana. These mirages could lead to bad endings most of the time, such as the appearance of other entities or explorers in the distance. Most explorers who fall trap to Fata Morgana in Red Winter perish from shallow snow that is located where the mirages are found. It is best you do not follow any reported mirages found in Red Winter and to ignore them completely.
Water vapor is also commonly found in the frigid terrain of the level and seems to never persist. These are usually faulted for the very low temperatures seen in Red Winter, so it is best you avoid the vapor upon sight.
Small bodies of lake are found in Red Winter as well and provide potable water sources. However, the level always is in a cloudy climate and doesn't have any sort of sky. It is not known if the sky is present and being hidden by the blankets of clouds or if the sky does not exist in Red Winter.
According to The P.A.E., Red Winter's lakes are never safe due to having the most concentrated electricity. It has been recorded at average that every 9 seconds lightning will strike one or more of these lakes. Any explorer that could be collecting a drinking source could get harmed by these bolts. Avoid at all costs.
If an explorer goes far enough, they will eventually meet the "ocean". However, this isn't like the ocean over in the real world. This ocean is full of ice spheres that are perfectly round and have no flaws. They never move and are all abundant in the "ocean". The ice spheres are similar to the ice found in the real world and can be used for cooling beverages or to cool wounds of an explorer.
The only way to exit Red Winter is to construct a boat and use your best energy to "row" through the ice sphere ocean. After enough time of rowing and leaving Red Winter's main area, one could get themselves to Level 62's mercury oceans.
There are no known colonies and outposts found in Red Winter.
Turn on any air siren in Level 71° 38' 50.4456'' S73° 56' 8.1564'' W and wait 12 hours. Said level will fade into this one.
"Row" through the ice sphere ocean, eventually when you're far enough it will slowly transition into Level 62's mercury oceans.
Eat an ice ball to go to Blue Winter.
