Level 283 is the 284th level of the Progressiverooms. It is a complex of metal fences surrounded in a maze-like structure, each having opened fence doors randomly. All while the area is covered in snow and dormant plants. Snowfall is evident and goes on indefinitely here, while everything in shrouded with darkness, unless you have a light source item, which can improve the field of view. This is one of the hazards, as you mustn't stay too long in this level, or you may suffer severe hypothermia leading to minor injuries.
Navigating Level 283 and its maze-like structure, the areas surrounded by fence contain a single type of entity that inhabits the level. That being the Unidentical Snowflake, which behaves and moves around aimlessly like usual, but killing the entity here will yield a chance to drop money.
Nothing is really of interest here, other than the fact one can find a hidden trapdoor covered by snow, which is identifiable by the sound of stepping on wood while on the snow. Entering it will lead you to Level 284.
Though, one of the enclosed spaces of the fences contains an open grave, that appears as if it was robbed, with a tattered wooden cross atop it. Entering it leads to a sub-area known as the Frigid Burial Site.
The Frigid Burial Site is a small, enclosed area with unbreakable metal fences at the edges. However, in the center are a couple of rows of graves, just like the one you first entered to get there, but the others are enclosed. You can return back to the main area by re-entering the one you exited out of.
A single colony exists in this level within this area, that being "Carroñeros Muertos", a colony simply that has only a handful of people who are neutral and don't harm you and are attached to the graves seen.
Carroñeros Muertos is a level-specific colony that only consists of a handful of people. They are neutral and do react to violence, but they do not dare to speak to you or any other explorer.
It is thought, through the name "Carroñeros Muertos", that they dwell on the graves, planning to dig them up and use the remains of whoever is unfortunately buried, since the name of the colony itself is "Dead Scavengers" in Spanish. Though, this is not proven and is left to debate.
