HEALTH OUTCOME SURVEY (HOS) 

WHAT IS THE PURPOSE OF THE HOS SURVEY?

• The HOS evaluates the quality of care provided to Medicare Advantage members by measuring their self-reported health status, physical and mental functioning, and care outcomes. 

• Its goal is to assess how effectively health plans maintain or improve members’ well-being over time. 

• The data helps monitor plan performance, enhance care quality, and guide beneficiaries in choosing the right health plan.
