Broken Bottles
You've been around the block and know when a scrap is brewing. You're able to pick out the best makeshift weaponry in your environment.
Improvised Weapon Mastery
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency with improvised weapons, and they can be used for your Brawler features in place of unarmed attacks. When you miss with an attack using an improvised weapon (unless the miss is due to a creature moving out of reach), the weapon shatters. When it shatters, roll any Combo die you would have lost; you deal that much Force damage to the target. This Force damage bypasses damage reduction. If you had no Combo die, you gain one for the purpose of triggering this effect.
Scrapper's Instinct
At 6th level, your experience in using makeshift weaponry grants you the ability to spot and utilize objects more effectively in combat. You gain the following benefits:
Quick Draw: You can draw and wield an improvised weapon as part of the same action you use to attack with it.
Improvised Durability: Your improvised weapons gain temporary durability. They only shatter on a missed attack if the attack roll is a natural 5 or lower.
Environmental Awareness: When you use an improvised weapon attack, you can scan your surroundings as a free action. If you are in a populated or urban environment, you can identify up to three nearby objects that could serve as improvised weapons, such as bottles, chairs, or debris. Picking up one of these objects does not cost an action, provided you move within 5 feet of it.
Eye for Objects
At 10th level, you can utilize your improvised weapons to their maximum effect. Depending on the damage type of your improvised weapon, it gains the following effects:
Slashing: On a successful hit, the target must make a Dexterity Save versus your Brawler DC or gain one rank of Bleed.
Piercing: The weapon ignores DR equal to half your Brawler level (rounded up).
Bludgeoning: On a successful hit, the target must make a Strength Save versus your Brawler DC or gain one rank of Bruised.
Elemental: On a successful hit, the target must make a Constitution Save versus your Brawler DC or gain one rank of the corresponding elemental condition from the Eye for Objects Elemental Conditions table.
Eye for Objects Elemental Conditions
Damage Type Condition
Acid Corroded
Cold Chilled
Fire Burned
Lightning Shocked
Necrotic Decayed
Poison Poisoned
Psychic Stupefied
Radiant Dazzled
Thunder Concussed
Smash, Crash, Crack
At level 14 your improvised weapons aren't durable, but you've learned to use that to your advantage. At 14th level, you can intentionally shatter an improvised weapon you're wielding by spending your Bonus Action. The next improvised weapon attack you make is at advantage. On a successful hit, you gain two Combo die and can spend any amount of Combo die to add the amount rolled as Force damage to your attack.
Level 18: Night Ender
You've been in enough scraps to know how to put down the most unruly of bar brawls in one fell swoop. At 18th level, when you shatter a weapon, it deals Force damage equal to your Combo die to any creatures you choose within 15 ft of the original target.
