Harnessing the power of the sun, you've refined your strikes to ignite with the force of a solar flare. Your fists, legs, or unarmed weapons are your tools, each one capable of unleashing the burning power of the sun.
Footwork
You’ve honed your speed and power, focusing on using your legs and unarmed strikes.
When you take this subclass at 3rd level, you gain the Fire Affinity, +10 ft to your base movement. This increases by 5 ft for every 3 levels you gain in this class.
You focus on your unarmed strikes and give up using traditional weapons. You can no longer use weapons or fighting stances that require weapons, but your fists, legs, and unarmed weapons are treated as Haki-Infused for the purpose of overcoming Logia resistance and immunity to Non-Haki Infused attacks and damage.
Solar Reflex
At 6th level, your connection to the power of the sun enhances your reflexes and defensive capabilities. When you take damage from a melee attack, you can use your reaction to unleash a burst of solar energy. The attacker must make a Dexterity saving throw against your Brawl Technique DC. On a failure, they take fire damage equal to your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier, and they gain one rank of Burning. On a success, they take half damage and do not gain the rank of Burning.
Additionally, when you take the Dodge action, you can move up to half your movement speed without provoking opportunity attacks, leaving behind a trail of intense heat. Any creature that moves through this trail before the start of your next turn takes fire damage equal to your Constitution modifier.
Messenger Shoes
You refine your strikes as you gain experience in battle.
At 10th level, You gain Radiant Affinity and you can now add fire or Radiant damage equal to your proficiency bonus to your attacks and Brawl Techniques. Additionally, when you move at least 10 feet before making an attack, you can add an additional 2d6 fire damage. This extra damage increases to 4d6 at 14th level and 6d6 at 18th level.
Flame Touched
At 14th level, you unlock a powerful mode called Flame Body. When you enter Flame Body as an action, you gain the following benefits:
Your attacks inflict additional fire damage equal to twice your proficiency bonus and can bypass resistance to fire damage.
When you deal fire damage with your attacks or Brawl Techniques, you can force the target to make a Constitution saving throw against your Brawl Technique DC. On a failure, they gain two ranks of Burning.
You radiate intense heat, causing any creature that starts its turn within 10 feet of you to take fire damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
This mode lasts for 1 minute, until you dismiss it as a bonus action, or until you fall unconscious or die. You can use this feature twice, regaining all uses after completing a short or long rest.
Fiery Will
You unlock the full power of your flames, reaching the peak of what it means to be a master of Solar Style.
At 18th level, while under the effects of Flame Body, you can use your bonus action to enter a new state called “Fire Spirit.”
When you enter Fire Spirit, you gain the following benefits:
Your attacks and Brawl Techniques bypass resistance and treat immunity as resistance when dealing fire damage.
When you force a creature to make a save against becoming Burned by your Brawl Techniques, they make their saving throw at disadvantage. On a failed save, they gain two additional ranks of Burning.
You can now evaporate shallow water (up to 10 ft deep) within 20 feet around you and create a 10-foot radius of steam that heavily obscures the area for 1 minute.
You gain resistance to all damage types except cold and water-based damage.
When you exit this mode, you gain two ranks of exhaustion. It lasts for as long as Flame Body lasts, or until you dismiss it as a bonus action.
