Happy Halloween
Greetings,
I am sending this newsletter out to everybody on my master email list. This means that most likely you have a loved one that you know of or is living with you. If these emails are a bother please respond with a “stop” and I will take your name off the list. If I haven't yet then I am sorry, I mean no malice to these emails or newsletters.
My main reason for sending you all this is to update everybody on our project “Next Wave Housing” that is supporting the construction of a secure building where our loved ones and us can live out the rest of our lives. Please view this YouTube for more info: Next Wave Housing Part 1 The Vision.
We are at the stage where we need as many people as possible to sign up to live here. It may take many years, but the effort will be worth it. So far we have 14 units; 25 people; 6 room apartments only: 5; DDA funds: 8; 7% to goal out of 200 units. It is a start. The reason we need people to register now is to establish a community where we can go to funders and say these are who we are working for. So please register your old ones and yourself. Please register yourself separately from your loved one, even if you don't plan on living there with them. Plans can always change.
The idea of this project is to find a place where our loved ones can live, own their own place and be affordable. It is a vision and hopefully will change with more participation. This project needs to be a ground up endeavor. So registering to live or just the newsletter will be a greater start.
I realize how hard it is for people to give out their time since we are still raising our loved ones. But if you do have the time or skill to join us in this project it would be greatly appreciated.
We still need board members, officers, community members for: outreach, applying for grants, going after land. No experience is necessary. I know I didn't in the beginning.
We are in Phase 1 of our goals for this project. This entails acquiring 30k euros to start the process from Dementia Village Ass. They have graciously given us a 5k euro discount. Thank you Frank and Freek! This will give us a design and a bidbok to go after the rest of the funds we need. “The bid book will contain a vision, a market-analyses based on public sources, an inspirational design and a draft business plan for your facility. It also will contain values that you want to add to the life of your clients related to a desired market position and what elements you need to start your business. From this perspective we will give input on and review your business plan. The bid book is your main tool to promote your business to the market, attract (potential) investors and other stakeholders.
So if you have any extra cash we will always be in need. It is a tax exempt donation and a receipt will be given to you.
