I am getting concerned about the lack of participation of people to get involved in this project. This is mainly my fault. I understand that it is a very large project and hard to understand how it can be done. I agree. But if we do not do anything, then the option is an Adult Family Home for our loved ones or with family. I have decided that I am willing to work on this non profit till the end of this year, unless we can come up with more people and or money to participate in putting this together. We cannot do this without your support.
At this point we are not 100% sure of Dementia Village Associates being there to help. So we may need to go on to Plan B. This involves us putting together a bidbok and design the complex. We can do this without their help, but their clout would be nice. We can start by mimickingThe Hogeweykfor now and change it later if need be.
If anybody likes to draw, we need a drawing of the Hogeweyk, either on a tablet or computer. We have some money, if it is not too expensive to buy a program. I designed this model below in 2021, before we met DVA, with my tablet and a cheap Home Design 3D below.
We also need people to coordinate outreach to reach more people and a picnic.
This past two months we have been applying for grants and building a video for the Hardware side of this project. Many grants, a few rejected. It can take about 6 months to get a answer for some of these grants.
That's about it. Think about contributing to this cause. Either money or your time. We need board members to help oversee what the non profit is doing. You do not need to be an expert on anything except that you are a parent of a person with disability and understand this project.
We currently have Registered: 21 units (10%); 33 people (11%); 6 to 7 room apartments only: 9 (18%); DDA funds: 13
