John:
I'm a student studying Counselling, Mental Health and Wellbeing, driven by a passion for supporting others through life’s most challenging experiences. My personal journey has shaped my deep interest in trauma and emotional healing, and I’m committed to creating safe, compassionate spaces for others. Through both my studies and creative work, I hope to make a meaningful difference in the mental health field.
I chose to explore trauma and grief because of my personal experience as a survivor of domestic violence. This journey has made me passionate about understanding how we can best support individuals through their most difficult times. My aim is to use this knowledge in a future career focused on mental health and advocacy. While the podcast presents the academic side of the topic, what isn’t fully captured is how deeply personal this work is for me, it’s about turning pain into purpose and helping others feel seen and supported.
