Sarah:
I'm studying Psychology as it's a science that's continuously evolving and this makes it a really interesting degree to study. There is still so much about human behaviour that we are yet to understand and in the future, I hope to be able to use my degree and further study to help in the development of a better understanding of Neurodivergent behaviour.
I chose to look at the impact Instagram has on teenage mental health and body image as being a Mum to two teenagers, I have seen the impact social media has on their daily life. The digital world has the means to connect individuals and share experiences that would have otherwise been impossible, but it needs to be used with a degree of discernment to protect mental well being. In the future, I hope to be able to use my degree and experiences to help teenagers and young adults to prioritise their mental health.
