Does playing violent video games lead to violent behaviour in teenagers?
Olivia, BSc Psychology and Childhood Studies with Foundation Year
Olivia:
I’m studying psychology with childhood studies. I just have a big interest in how people’s minds work and want to develop more in understanding them! I also like reading ancient philosophy, yes your Aristotle, plato and stoicism are good but ancient Chinese philosophy I feel is some of the most interesting such as Lao Tzu!
I chose to explore this specific topic as I’ve always played video games and so have my siblings at a young age and I can see that we turned out fine (Mostly!). But it was really interesting to see how other people react to playing such games as everyone’s minds works differently.
