I chose to look into the impact of social media on crime in the UK because, as a criminology student and a parent, I’m interested in how online platforms are changing criminal behaviour and affecting vulnerable people. Social media has changed the way some crimes are carried out and seen by others, so I felt it was a relevant and important topic to explore.
