Mark 8:27-30
Who Do You Say I AM
27 Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
28 They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, one of the prophets.”
29 “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
Peter answered, “You are the Messiah.”
30 Jesus warned them not to tell anyone about him.
Job 42:1-7
Job Comments to God
1 Then Job replied to the Lord:
2 “I know that you can do all things;
no purpose of yours can be thwarted.
3 You asked, ‘Who is this that obscures my plans without knowledge?’
Surely I spoke of things I did not understand,
things too wonderful for me to know.
4 “You said, ‘Listen now, and I will speak;
I will question you,
and you shall answer me.’
5 My ears had heard of you
but now my eyes have seen you.
6 Therefore I despise myself
and repent in dust and ashes.”
7 After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends, because you have not spoken the truth about me, as my servant Job has.
Jesus ask many questions throughout the gospels...And He did not ask questions because He needed an answer...His questions we for us Spiritually...He used questions to help us understand and to increase our hearts into better understanding ...His questions help both touch the heart and the soul...
So, I believe that God wants us to ask Him questions and those things that are weighing on our minds...I think this is a lesson we learn from Job that asking questions to God and talking to Him personally as Job did is a good thing...
