Mark 10:25-31
Nothing is Impossible with God
25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God."
26 The disciples were even more amazed, and said to each other, "Who then can be saved?"
27 Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God."
28 Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!"
29 "I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel 30 will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life. 31 But many who are first will be last, and the last first."
There are many times in our lives that we look at things or problems and admit we cannot do them...Jesus tells us that nothing is impossible with God...Man is limited...God is unlimited...Sometimes we forget about God's power...The disciples have just heard how difficult it is for a rich man to get to heaven...Jesus tells His disciples that "It is easier to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven"...That appears impossible to us and the Twelve...
The disciples ask, "Who then can be saved?"...Nothing is impossible to God....Nothing...God created the heavens and earth...God created all things, everything around us...We read that He is Almighty, but we either forget that, or just admit He is God and He can do anything, and go on our day...He is perfect...No matter what the issue, or what the problem, He can solve it...There is no problem that He cannot solve...
Peter says "We have left everything for you!...This is not a question, but yet it is (a question)...Peter (like most of us) does not understand...Peter, with the LORD's help, follows Him to the end, and into eternity...Jesus tells Peter, and the disciples, that those who have left home and follow Him and the gospel will receive one hundred times more in the eternal life...Here we must take note, that Jesus is telling us about eternal live...He is talking about heaven...If we follow Him and the gospel, we can reach heaven... Jesus give us hope, eternal hope...He died for us...Then He gives us heaven...
In following our LORD, we know He is about love and we are to get better...Get better, in the sense, that we are sinners...We can improve, if we imitate and follow his ways...We are to try...It is a struggle, and Jesus knows this...That is why He came...He came for people like me...Those who sin...He tells us He did not come for the righteous, but for those of us who sin...Even the disciples and saints struggled, along the path of life...But they tried...The reward is there...It is heaven...
We go through life searching for happiness, searching for knowledge, searching for love, searching for the truth...We search, it seems for many things...These searches and desires are found in God...It is only God, who can satisfy this search...It is only God, who gives us happiness...It is not money, cars, and things...Nothing is impossible for God...He has all the knowledge...God is love...So when we are looking for love, we should pray to the One, who is pure love...And as we search the world for truth, we should read our Bibles, and find that He is the way, and the truth, and the life...
We must trust in God...Sometimes we lose sight of things like the air, but we breathe it every second, and we need it..What we view as miracles, are simple to Him...What we see as obstacles, God can do in the blink of an eye...God can do all things...We may not have thought about it, but God can reduce the size of a camel, to a size that is smaller than the eye of a needle...Then a camel can pass through a needle, easily...This is how we must think about His power...He is Almighty...He was there when the earth was created...He is our creator...He is the creator of all things...
