Philippians 2:1-11
1 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,4 not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
5 In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus:
6 Who, being in very nature God,
did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage;
7 rather, he made himself nothing
by taking the very nature of a servant,
being made in human likeness.
8 And being found in appearance as a man,
he humbled himself
by becoming obedient to death—
even death on a cross!
9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place
and gave him the name that is above every name,
10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
11 and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Mark 7:31-37
Jesus Heals a Deaf and Mute Man
31 Then Jesus left the vicinity of Tyre and went through Sidon, down to the Sea of Galilee and into the region of the Decapolis. 32 There some people brought to him a man who was deaf and could hardly talk, and they begged Jesus to place his hand on him.
33 After he took him aside, away from the crowd, Jesus put his fingers into the man’s ears. Then he spit and touched the man’s tongue. 34 He looked up to heaven and with a deep sigh said to him, “Ephphatha!” (which means “Be opened!”). 35 At this, the man’s ears were opened, his tongue was loosened and he began to speak plainly.
36 Jesus commanded them not to tell anyone. But the more he did so, the more they kept talking about it. 37 People were overwhelmed with amazement. “He has done everything well,” they said. “He even makes the deaf hear and the mute speak.”

In Nazareth Jesus Only Could Do a Few Miracles
55 "Is not this the carpenter's son? Is not His mother called Mary, and His brothers, James and Joseph and Simon and Judas? 56 "And His sisters, are they not all with us? 57 And they took offense at Him. But Jesus said to them, "A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his own household." 58 And He did not do many miracles there because of their unbelief.
I think miracles are hard to believe...If you saw a miracle or a set of miracles by someone you were acquainted with, would you believe they are miracles?...Can One do miracle after miracle and there be a great humbleness in each miracle?...It may require faith in the one doing a miracle to believe that it is actually a miracle...This is because, if you do not trust or believe in someone, it is harder to believe them and in them, and believe they can do the difficult and hard things...
I cannot do miracles...Never being able to do a miracle, I have always thought it must be very difficult to do one...If I did a miracle I would tell, most likely, my wife, my mother, and my brother...I think they would believe me if I did a miracle they did not see, but I cannot be 100% sure about that...Miracles are by their nature very, very unique...And I think it would be difficult not to want to tell and share that event with someone, about what you just did...If you could do any type of miracle, and do miracles consistency -can or could there be humility or humbleness in you doing your miracles, (especially, after the miracle was completed)?...It would take a lot of humbleness, if one could do miracle after miracle and not tell others -and not expect anyone just appreciating what you had just did or just seen...There is One who did a great many miracles, and in such a way that there are non-believers, who do not believe they even happened...And He was not particularly fond of sharing what He did in His miracles...In the text of the gospels it tells us that this humble Man did not even want others to spread the word about His miracles, and He did not want some of the people He had helped with His miracles to tell anyone...Imagine yourself healing crowds of people and really not caring to tell those you know about who you just helped...Could you keep what you did alone in yourself?...Jesus wanted no appreciation for the miracles He did, other than to give glory to God for those miracles...
